there have been many actions against the security and prosperity partnerships the past weeks. thousands of people have mobilized to show their opposition to the spp. the protests against the spp have been marked by over-policing and police brutality.

Correction 21.08.2007 - 19:01 Thousands, uhm, enough propoganda...1400 hundred at its peak attended Montebello and about 1200 attended the Ottawa protest the day before and the remaining 32 million Canadians stayed home. The Ottawa protest was a great success....peaceful and they made their point. The montebello protest was a failure....violent and the only point that was made was that some of the protesters really enjoy inuring police officers. Violent protest, shameful and disgusting. Montebello was predominantly peaceful (from the side of the protesters) except for some rock and water-bottle throwing in response to police attacks (physical, liquid pepper-spray, pepper-gas, tear gas and rubber bullets.)
